Juventus Football Club S.p.A. is a professional Italian Association football club based in Turin, Piedmont. Founded in 1897 as Sports-Club Juventus by a group of young Turin students, the club, colloquially known as Juve, is the second oldest of its kind still active in the country.
Juventus is the most successful club in Italian football, with the strongest sporting tradition, and one of the most awarded globally, named best club in Italy and second best in Europe in the twentieth century by IFFHS. It became the first club in football history—and at present remains the only one—to have won all the possible official continental competitions and the world title.
According to the ranking conducted by the Italian Football League, Juventus is the club with the largest fan base in Italy, having 33% of the market share of football lovers. Moreover, it boasts one of the biggest potential fan bases in the world, at more than 300 million – 41 million of which are in Europe – according to a survey conducted in the Sports market by Nielsen Sports in 2015.
Juventus is the only sports club to be present in the FTSE Mid Cup rank of the MTA and it is one of the three Italian football clubs quoted in this Stock Exchange.
